Badminton match analysis · Pilot · Bengaluru

Every rally. Read.

One phone video in. Who served, who won every point, where each shot came from and how far they ran out, within 24 hours.

No sensors. No special camera. Just the phone you already film with.

A phone mounted sideways on a tall tripod, about three metres behind the baseline, filming the whole badminton court Head height or higher Phone sideways 2–4 m behind the back line

Step 1 · Record

Set it up once. Film the whole match.

1.7 m+Raise the phone. A tall tripod or stand at head height or higher sees the far end of the court clearly.
2–4 mBehind the back line, in the middle. The whole court fits in the picture, all four corners visible.
16:9Phone sideways. Start recording before the first serve and leave it running.

Step 2 · Mark the court

Four taps. Every line.

Tap where the front service line meets the outer sideline, two on each side of the net. Each tap opens 8× closer, so it lands exactly on the crossing.

Step 3 · Read the match

The match, in four numbers.

Every point read from the video, each one compared with the player's own average. Estimates are labelled as estimates.
